The school takes place in a beautiful historic town of Telč, which is surrounded by a peaceful nature of Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The lectures and other related events will take place in the building of University centre Telč (former Jesuit college, founded in 1651), that is only few steps away from both the UNESCO-protected renaissance town square and the charming lakeside chateau.

Travel information

IMPORTANT NOTE: Changes in timetables of regular bus lines – see below.

We expect that most of the participants will arrive via airports in Prague, Brno, and Vienna. Below you can find some recommendations regarding the transport from these cities to Telč. If the recommended bus lines do not suite your needs, you can find alternative times and modes of transport via the online timetable IDOS (available in Czech, English and German). This site contains timetables of all bus and train lines in the Czech Republic. However, be advised that the alternative connections will usually have more interchanges than the ones mentioned below.

The tickets for Czech buses can be either purchased online via AMSBus.cz (recommended, the reservation is usually open ca. 1 month before the date of travel), or in the “AMSBUS” ticket office at the Florenc station in Prague, or they can be purchased directly from the driver. This does not hold for buses operated by the Student Agency company (these are always indicated below). For these buses, the tickets should be either booked via the operator's website (recommended), or purchased from one of it's ticket offices.

You can either take the bus No. 119 that will take you to Dejvická bus stop. From here, you continue by metro line A to Muzeum station, where you change to line C (direction Letňany) which takes you to the Florenc station. Note that a special tariff applies to the Airport express line, and a ticket for this line must be purchased from the bus driver. See also Prague airport transport for further details.

To get from Opatov and Roztyly bus stations to the airport, you need to take metro line C (direction Dejvická) to Dejvická station, from where you can reach the airport as mentioned above.
